Casa Cook Rhodes

Just like the island, Casa Cook Rhodes is a hotel of contrasts. Set against the backdrop of Tsambika Mountain, it’s just a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 30 minute drive to the Old Town. Its design blends a minimalist aesthetic with natural elements, featuring local colours, textures and materials in keeping with the surrounding landscape of olive groves and rocky hills.

The Kitchen Club is the hotel’s main hub, a meeting place for the friends you’re with or the ones you’ve just met. Meals, snacks and drinks are available from morning till night, for you to enjoy from the bar, restaurant or main pool area. You’ll be sure to find something you like, whether that’s a spread of Greek mezze to devour after an afternoon swim, or a perfectly poured mojito to sip while enjoying sounds from the resident DJ.

Kolymbia Beach is just a short stroll away, while the secluded Tsambika Beach with its broad stretch of sand is 10 minutes away by car. For a change of pace and scenery, head to Rhodes Town, where you can explore the historic UNESCO world heritage site and learn about its medieval history.

All rooms are decked out in warm earthy tones and thoughtful touches. Some back out onto a private verandah and pool access, others have their own deck chairs or hammocks. Whichever you choose, all rooms will give you the space you need to kick back and unwind. For peak relaxation, book in a private yoga class in the open-air shala, or a sailing excursion along the coastline.

A week of solitude & relaxation

Jan 2022 | AshinAmsterdam

My husband and I stayed here for 7 days at the very end of the season after spending a week prior in Rhodes Town. The Casa Cook experience is very relaxing but also quite insular. In many ways I appreciated this after the bustle of Rhodes Town. Perhaps it’s the layout of the hotel that facilitates this: each room has its own private pool and the main pool is used only if you want to get drinks or lunch. Fantastic during the pandemic or if you really want to be alone. Regarding the layout: private pools all get the sun but there can be an abrupt end to the sunshine at the end of the day in some of the private pools due to the mountain behind the resort so bear that in mind. I expect the private pools could get exceptionally hot in summer. We moved rooms during our stay due to a shower leak creating less than stellar room conditions. The resort was fully booked for the first few days and we couldn’t move but when we were moved to a different room in a higher category it was significantly better. My suggestion with this chain, much like with everything else, is to simply pay more for your room as the upgrade was much better value for money on all fronts. The entire resort has a very hands-off ‘casual chic’ approach which some may enjoy. There are no overtly luxurious touches here which I missed, although I very much appreciated the peace and quiet. That said, their hands-off approach doesn’t extend to food: their restaurant was very good, quality of the coffee, drinks and buffet breakfasts were amazing. Coffee service could be very slow in the mornings as each order has to be made individually but that did mean it was actually good. I appreciated their boutique - very nice selection of clothing and swimwear. Would I return? I think Casa Cook would be great place to bring a group of friends or relatives to - each could gather as they wanted and meet at will . I would also be a fantastic location for a lone traveler who just wants some peace and quiet by the pool without much fuss. If you want to explore the island it’s in a pretty good location and car rental is simple as there is a rental desk at the hotel - we rented a car and went to Lindos and then drove up to Apollona to visit Paraga (see my other reviews). Airport transfers are easy. Biggest bonus - it’s adults only.

European paradise found ♥️

Oct 2021 | kirstensC6003AV

For now the 3rd time in 15 months, we returned to Casa Cook Rhodes - we have completely fallen in love with this wonderful hotel! We have traveled a lot - especially in Asia and our favorite Maldives. But due to the world situation in 2020, we went in search of something that could satisfy our needs in Europe. It was tough! But we found it! Casa Cook Rhodes is our newfound European paradise♥️ Here we found what we were looking for: A small intimate hotel with very beautiful decor, beautiful surroundings, sweet and present staff and lovely food. When you are an esthetician, it can be difficult to find hotels that can actually make your mind go on vacation. I'm the type who always, as the first, when I entrance a hotel room, starts redecoratinh the room Storing ugly cushions and wall decorations away before my vacation can begin! At Casa Cook it has not been necessary at all! The only negative I have to say is that I think their speakers at the bar are ugly! (sorry) NOTHING else is negative - and then we are in the small things department, I guess ! For us, luxury is not the more the better - we love understated luxury - and that's what you find at Casa Cook ♥️ We thank the sweet staff for their fantastic way of servicing us - it is a great pleasure to be your guest♥️ The warmest recommendations from us - Tom and Kirsten! We would love to return♥️

Amazing Hotel and Staff!

Oct 2021 | joankari

Me and my husband booked a week at Casa Cook Rhodes in October and it is safe to say it was the best experience we have ever had with a hotel. The location is amazing combining the modern, bohemian style of the hotel with the amazing raw beauty of nature and its landscapes surrounding. A truthfully mesmerizing experience. What you see in the photos is what you really get! The rooms are cleaned every day and it’s done properly, fresh towels are also being daily provided along with some toiletries to make your stay comfortable. The housekeeping staff is very kind and always greets you if they see you in the hotel premises! The main pool and the lounge area is lovely designed, DJ is playing lounge music every afternoon giving a pleasant vibe to your stay while you are drinking your delicious cocktails. We booked Bed and Breakfast and needless to say the food was delicious! An amazing variety of dishes ready to please every taste, carefully and freshly cooked/prepared. We also ordered room service(lunch and dinner) and every time we were served delicious meals delivered on time and with care. The staff at the restaurant/buffet is exceptional! We were constantly feeling welcomed and well taken care of. They are kind, discreet, amazing professionals but also friendly in a way you feel very appreciated as a guest. They always try to help you no matter the need and they even memorize your coffee order-something which we’ve of course appreciated. Thank you Dimitri for the best service and the warm “kalimera”! You are a great asset to the team! The girls at the reception desk were friendly making the check-in/check-out process smooth and effective, taking time to guide you and answer to your questions! Thank you Casa Cook Rhodos Team we had an exquisite experience and we would love to meet up with you again! Greetings from Munich, Ioanna
