Mitsis Family Village Beach is an all-inclusive 4 star hotel, located on the southern coast of Kos. It’s just a five minute stroll to the pebble beach and the crystal clear sea waters, but you can take it easy and use their beach hopper service instead.
When you want to take a swim, there's six freshwater pools to choose from, plus a small option for mini guests. There are also fun slides for both children and adults. Alternatively, take part in the hotel-run activities including tennis, water polo, beach volleyball and football. If you’re a fitness fanatic, why not hit the gym?
Little guests can join the kids' club, where they can dance at the disco and have fun on the playground or in the games room. Any juniors aspiring to be the next Michel Roux Jr or Rachel Khoo can enter the master chef competition. There's also a teens' club with regularly organised activities during July and August.
The main restaurant offers buffet meals, which you can devour while admiring the view of the Kardamena coast. A late dinner and early breakfast service are available for eleventh hour arrivals and those wishing to depart as the sun is rising, for a flight or day trip. You don’t need to miss your included lunch if you’re going to be away; just request a snack box the day before. There’s a fourth meal available at Mitsis Family Village Beach - tea time between 5 and 7pm, where a choice of fresh sweet delicacies are served alongside a range of flavoured teas. Between formal eating times enjoy light bites from Zia Snack Bar, Creperie - Gelateria, or grab a fresh slice of pizza on the beach. Refreshing beverages are available poolside, from the beach bar or inside. Drinks are served from 9am until midnight.
There’s entertainment day and night, including activities, shows and DJ sets. Unless your name is Cinderella, you can continue partying beyond midnight (until 4am) at The Zone, for an additional charge. Boogie to the latest tunes, plus a variety of Dance, R&B, House and Disco favourites. Maybe try the huge Mojito, made with mint leaves grown in the garden outside. Join one of the themed nights including UV/Glow parties, Latino nights and Oldies.
The air-conditioned rooms are a generous 30m2 and are equipped with a balcony or terrace, mini bar, tea & coffee making facilities, satellite TV, WiFi, safe, hairdryer and a sofa which can also be used as a bed for a third guest. Family suites can accommodate two children in a separate room from their parents. Upgrade options include a sea view and sharing pool, ideal for those who like a spontaneous swim.
While those who have been clubbing until 4am are sleeping in, the bright-eyed and bushy-tailed guests might like to go and explore one of the two nearby castles or maybe even venture to Kos Town for a day trip (approx 40 minutes away by car). Wildlife lovers might like to take a walk around Alikes Salt Lake, a refuge home to pink feathery flamingos.

First time, but we’ll be back!
It was our first time to Kos and we absolutely loved it! The hotel was great and the staff were even better! They were all friendly, chatty and happy to help, nothing was too big or too small. We arrived late around 11pm but we were greeted by lovely staff and led to the crepes and desserts bar for food (savory & sweet options) and the cocktail bar to start our holiday. The beach is a 5min walk away with gyros, chips and a bar with plenty of beds available. Plus lots of water sports available to hire on the beach. It can get a bit crowded but for mid-October it was okay. Earlier might have more people and be warmer. The hotel has everything you need, swimming pool, access to a gym, tennis courts, evening entertainment, kids entertainment and a children’s pool. Rooms are average and could do with an modern update but to be honest we barely spent any time in our rooms. Staff were amazing bent over backwards to help customers, we couldn’t fault them and thought they delivered a brilliant service. The local town is close by and 3 Euros for two people on the local bus, or you can hire a car or even grab a quad bike into Kardamena town. The town has boat trips at the port, bars, restaurants and shops. We took a trip to the main city/town and went on a 3-stop island pirate ship. Food was included and it was a brilliant way to see the island. We will definitely be looking to visit again in the future and we would highly recommend families, couples, friends to try Mitsis resort.
Amazing place
The staff are amazing at this resort. They fully embraced the covid protocols and the staff worked so hard. We had a great room and loved the swim up room. It was so nice to get away. The walk down to beach and back up is quite steep but the train was available. It wasn’t far into kos town and nice to see some of the area. A great place to visit and we would definitely recommend.
A nice break
I will start with the good firstly Despoina Kazantzidou from the resevations team she was amazing and i had so many concerns before i went as my 28 yr old son was coming and sharing a room but it was lovely and so large. We were in room 702 which obviously was a newly renovated one had 2 seperate bedrooms and a huge bathroom with free standing bath and walk in shower. We had all the essential in our rooms and a bonus was we even got a full size hair dryer :)l. Room was cleaned every day and towels every other day but Anna our house keeper would give me anything if i needed it. The pool area is large and the pools are very deep, unfortunatly i never went in as it was far too cold for me..maybe should have a heated one for colder months. The only bar they have served everything you needed to be fair and the drinks were lovely as were the bar staff. There was a cake and creperier next to the bar for any icecreams and pancakes. There was one restaurant and plenty of room but would not like to go in summer holidays as i guess would get really crowded. You could eat at the beach for Giros and pitza and sandwiches. The beach was very nice and plenty of sunbeds and its small shingly stones but it never bothered me or my 3 year old grandaughter. Bus into Kardamena every hour or so for a change of scenery and something to eat. Every member of staff cant do enough for you and they do make your time there so much easier from the cleaners to the managers all well done and thanks Now the not so good..Although our room was lovely it was right at the top of the hill as far as you could go, it used to kill us walking up and it was so windy sometimes impossible to get up there but you can get Tony to take you up in the car no good if you have walking difficulties. My daughter had room 654 and it was awfuls, so old and dated with old furniture and a kitchen in the corner...i would not have wanted to stay in there but she managed for the 7 days she was there. The food in the restaurant was litrally always cold for some reason and i cant say its the best Mitsis food i have had and ive done 11 hotels(hopefully next year they will sort it) Also you can not use the other hotel bars even if you are a Mitsis friend unless you paid 50 euros a day ha i dont think so So to conclude it was a break away from everything thats going on but i would not go back to the family village but i would not tell anyone else not to go , it depends what you are looking for Thanks Mitsis Family Village stay safe x
