My wife, infant daughter and I recently returned from an 8 night stay at the Lake Resort. I had previously emailed them to inform the hotel that we'd be staying during my wife's birthday and our anniversary. The Guest Relations team of Rita & Joanna (I hope that's right) took care of everything. On the night of my wife's birthday, we returned to the room with a bottle of sparking wine and a chocolate cake prepared by the hotel. It was very nice of them to do. Then, on the night of our anniversary, there was another bottle of sparkling rose wine and some homemade chocolates and fruits. They also decorated the bed and bathtub with rose petals. Little touches like that, made a great stay even better. Even our interactions with the housekeeping services were lovely. They were always cooing over our daughter and getting her to smile. The facilities are very nice at the hotel. My wife and I each had a massage which was pretty good. The gym was equipped with enough equipment to have a good workout. We only ate breakfast at the hotel and ordered room service one night. Breakfast was good. It had a large selection of just about anything you could ask for. My room service meal of the steak sandwich was nice, but my wife wasn't fond of the tuna sandwich, calling it watery. We only used the indoor pool s=as it was heated while staying here as our daughter was too young to get in the freezing pools outside. It was perfect for our daughters first time ever getting in a pool. Overall, we had a great stay and would stay here again if we ever returned to Vilamoura.

If It’s good enough for Ronaldo and his entourage it’s good enough for us folk! Brilliant staff , Denise and Jose come to mind - we have stayed here many times and always have a wonderful welcome , especially from Denise - great Cocktails , it’s feels like home this place , not a concrete jungle of rooms! Lovely guests , no pretentious people , everyone leaves there egos at home! Rooms are lovely , location is second to none to the marina - good value - well priced , worry every penny! koala club is great kids have enjoyed it for 8 years - lovely staff

Hotel management makes all the difference

We were a family of 7 adults requiring four rooms and booked two double rooms in the hotel and a duplex apartment but in hind sight we should have just booked rooms in hotel as apartments were dated and had small bedrooms with hot water shortage! Frankly the apartments did not live up to the standard of the hotel. Had it not been for the help of Joanna the guest relationship manager our holiday would have been compromised. Joanna was a star in planning our days out and restaurants bookings.
