7560 reviews
Gran Hotel Bali is in Benidorm, on Spain's Costa Blanca. The hotel is one of the tallest hotels in Europe, and you'll be able to enjoy panoramic views across the resort and the surrounding countryside. It's a short walk from Benidorm's Poniente Beach, which is a long sandy stretch overlooked by cliffs. You'll be able to relax with a drink at one of the beachfront bars, enjoy the sandy beach or take a dip in the calm waters of the Mediterranean Sea. There are three outdoor pools at the hotel and a shallow pool for children. There's also a whirlpool. After your swim, you can visit the pool bar where you'll be able to choose from a variety of drinks and light snacks. If you want to keep active, the hotel has a fitness area. Alternatively, you can pamper yourself at the spa. There's a range of beauty treatments on offer, as well as a sauna and a Turkish bath where you can relax. Gran Hotel Bali has two buffet restaurants with a choice of local and international dishes. There's a special area for children, serving pizzas and ice cream. There are four bars in total, including a snack bar.
Gran Hotel Bali is 300m from Poniente Beach. The beach is sandy with shallow waters, which makes it popular with families and swimmers. If you fancy exploring more beaches, the nearby Levante Beach is geared towards active beachgoers, and there are diving boards and rafts in the sea. You can also take a trip to Malpas Beach, a sheltered bay popular with visitors wanting to play volleyball or other beach sports. The hotel is also 3km from Benidorm's bustling Old Town. Here, you'll be able to explore the narrow, cobbled streets, lined with whitewashed houses, tapas bars and boutiques.
You'll be able to have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel's main buffet restaurant. There's also a cafe serving hot drinks and snacks. If you fancy discovering more eating, drinking and entertainment options outside of the hotel, you'll find a wide range of cuisines in the town centre.
The hotel has a kids' club for ages 4-8, which is open daily. There's family-friendly entertainment every day during the summer months.
Rooms at the Gran Hotel Bali are modern and bright, with tiled floors. There's air conditioning in all of the hotel's rooms.

Great holiday
This is our 7th visit and we cannot understand why people give bad reviews for this hotel. We have found the staff really helpful and friendly. The food is plentiful and varied, it may not be as hot as you would like, but there are microwaves around. We would like to give a special mention to Oscar and Ivan in the bar and Rafael and Mohammed in the restaurant, nothing was too much trouble for any of them. We will be booking again soon.
Try for yourself don't trust all the reviews!.
So after reading a lot of very bad reviews prior to coming I was dreading what the holiday was going to be like.. Arrived early afternoon after a short transfer from alicante Airport, as we got to the check in desk we were advised to use the self check in machines near the entrance, so the lady escorted us over and checked us in and explained how to get to our room tower 1 floor 33, we were then given 2 keys and our all inclusive bands. We headed up the lifts of which were 5 and all working so didn't take long to get up to our floor, both keys worked and as of day 3 we still haven't had an issue gaining entry, the rooms although dated were very big and we had 2 double beds and a pull out bed which acted as my wardrobe , the bathroom was split into to with separate sinks to the toilet and shower, there was a selection of toiletries for us to use including soap shower gel and shampoo, oh and a comb. After arriving my wife had a shower and when she went to use the hairdryer she couldn't get it to work we thought we tried everything, luckily one of the cleaners was in a room close by so I asked if she could have a look which she happily did even though she didn't speak much English we worked out you have to hold in the blue button after that it worked fine. The first evening we went to the hotel for tea and was very happy with the selection of food I'm not fussy but there was a good selection of food hot and cold, the restaurant on the ground level always seemed to close early so we were always advised to go to the downstairs one which was only down 1 set of stairs, we were always greater at the door by a hotel worker with a smile and advised where the quiter areas were. The staff in the restaurants work ridiculously hard and are never still weather that be cleaning tables or replenishing food constantly, I can understand why people thought the food was cold breakfast was never piping hot but it was never cold as per previous reviews, there was an enormous amount of choice, for the record if you want English bacon and sasauges and heinze beans go to a cafe and pay for it, bar snacks we rarely had but the time we did we were offered toasties and hot dogs we were never just offered a packet of crisps like previous reviews. Unfortunately the week we were here it was raining most days but we got taxis to the new and old town for us the old town is much more our scene and cost around 7€ each way, one morning we did walk it along the beach and it was a lovely walk with plenty of cafes for coffee and churros, it took us about 40 mins at a strolling pace. All inclusive includes all the normal drinks vodka, gin, coconut liqueur and also a Irish cream which my wife loved and the measures were very large, you can't get bottled water but you can get water from the juice machine if required, for 1€ at the local shop I'm not bothered about paying that. Location is out of the way of the main part but if that bothers you don't stay here it's a short taxi or bus ride, and yes there is a lot of Spanish tourist but again its been mentioned numerous times and if you don't like it don't stay here , do the research before hand. As of half way through this is my opinion if it changes I will update.
Wouldn’t return. Cold food. Rude bar staff
Stayed for 4 nights, two couples. Breakfast - cold eggs, uncooked sausages - clearing of the table extremely slow - had to put each meal in microwave. Lunch - cold meat, bad selection of food, again had to put each meal in microwave. Dinner - cold meat, bad selection of food, again had to put each meal in microwave. Reception - ok - helpful. Bar - downstairs bar is ok - staff nice. Bar - upstairs bar - very rude waiters - If you are not Spanish, and especially if you are not PAYING for their table service - they are horrible. Room - ok, clean. Maid service helpful. Very dated however. Pool area - nice, 3 pools. Can imagine in season will be too busy to get a sun bed. Location, long way from old town. 1.55 on number 2 bus and a short walk or €8 in taxi. Wouldn’t return, quality of food really let’s the place down.
