3424 reviews
Holiday World Polynesia Hotel is the perfect place for a fun-filled, family-friendly taste of the South Pacific on Spain’s Costa Del Sol. Packed with activities and entertainment for all the family, the hotel is set around a large lagoon of swimming pools overlooking the sea.
A short shuttle bus will take you to the beach or the holiday resort’s action-packed water park which is open during the summer months where you can spend the day hurtling down slides and exploring its themed areas.
On-site there’s a large buffet restaurant serving local and your favourite international dishes as well as two further a la carte restaurants in addition to a pool bar for drinks and snacks.
There are a range of room sizes making it ideal for families sharing and each has a terrace or balcony. During the summer there’s also a packed entertainment schedule for all the family during the day and the evening.
And if that all gets a bit too much fun, take yourself off to the spa for a Turkish bath or a special treatment.
Nearby, you can explore the Costa del Sol, with Marbella, Estepona and elsewhere short drives away. Or head into Malaga or Grenada and soak up some local Spanish culture with the two cities’ historic palaces and museums.

The lack of hospitality skills of staff was making our stay less pleasant than it could have been despite speaking fluent Spanish. Cleanliness of rooms was ok but the room was dusty, cups not washed properly, desk sticky with glue. Food was average and often not replenished. The chefs at the one cookery station were overwhelmed and fish were burned on outside and raw inside. Eggs were burnt on bottom and not fast enough replenished, vegetables overcooked. However, you would always find food at the cold buffet and salad. Fruit was the same, not ripe or provided as a whole. Compared to other hotels of this size it seemed management didn’t really care about customer satisfaction. Staff in the restaurant seemed stressed and didn’t provide a friendly atmosphere. You were simply a number that was here now and gone tomorrow.
Beautiful hotel and friendly staff
Me, my husband and my son were staying few days at this beautiful hotel. We booked large apartment with jacuzzi and see view. We had half board option, soft and hot drinks with breakfast were free, but for the dinner (apart the water) you had to pay extra. Hotel was large and had fantastic decor. Most the facilities were closed because of the low season, but it was nothing to worry about because hotel it is very close to many activities outside of the area, like breath taking beaches, zoo's, shops etc. Staff were very helpful and polite especially ladies on the reception and gentleman in the restaurant who greeted us every day. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend polynesia hotel!
Needs improvement... food labelling needs urgent attention
Famous friendly staff.. lovely spacious rooms... Great spa... BUT... poor entertainment.. yes was out of season but hotel was busy and very little going on... buffet can be a bit like dicing with death if you have allergies... one day nearly ate mussels (seafood allergy) as was mixed into salad and not labelled.. another day actually took a small bite of a nut based cheesecake that wasn't labelled as such and luckily only spent the night with a swollen tongue . Could have been much worse... Kitchenette in rooms is a great idea.. but we're no one etc to actually cook with so hob was a bit superfluous...
